Sri Lanka, May 2 -- The Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court today (2) ordered the release on bail of Thusitha Halloluwa, who was presented to court on suspicion of misusing a computer and a mobile phone worth over Rs. 470,000 belonging to the National Lottery Board during his tenure as its Acting Director.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura ordered the release of the suspect on two sureties of Rs. 200,000 each and imposed a ban on his foreign travel.

Presenting his case to the court, the suspect's lawyer, Ajith Pathirana, stated that his client served as the Acting Director of the National Lottery Board from 2017 to 2019 and received the computer and mobile phone provided to directors.
