Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (15) ordered the release of former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara on bail.
He was arrested by the Bribery Commission in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged irregularity in sending workers for agricultural jobs to Israel.
The Magistrate ordered the suspect Minister to be released on, two surety bails of Rs. 4 million each and a cash bail of Rs. 100,000.
Additionally, the court imposed a travel ban on the suspect and instructed him not to influence witnesses.
The Magistrate also ordered the former Minister to provide voice samples to the Government Analyst.
