Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- Chaminda Kularatne, the former Deputy Secretary General of Parliament, has filed a writ application before the Court of Appeal.

He is seeking an order to invalidate the decision taken to suspend his services, claiming the move was made without a fair inquiry.

The petition names 14 respondents in total. Key figures among them include the Speaker of Parliament, the Secretary General of Parliament, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, and Minister Bimal Rathnayake.

Kularatne argues that the suspension is legally flawed and requests the court to nullify the decision.
