Sri Lanka, Feb. 26 -- Cabinet Spokesperson Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa announced that social media activists will be required to pay 15% taxes on their earnings in foreign currency.

Speaking at a media briefing on cabinet decisions, he stated that while a higher tax had been proposed earlier, the government needed to implement the current rate to prevent more severe tax measures in the future.

He further stated,
