Sri Lanka, Sept. 7 -- The special officer from the Government Analyst's Department will arrive in Ella tomorrow to inspect the bus wreckage and definitively confirm if a mechanical failure caused the accident on the Ella-Wellawaya road that claimed 15 lives.

Investigations have revealed that the bus was traveling at a speed exceeding 70 km/h at the time of the accident. Police suspect this high speed was a result of a brake failure. The bus's fitness certificate was recovered from the wreckage, and police have stated that they will also be looking into its validity.
