Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- It is reported that Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister, Vijitha Herath, is scheduled to hold a series of discussions with High Commissioners, ambassadors, human rights activists, academics, and lawyers in Colombo ahead of the 60th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
These discussions are expected to take place next week.
The 60th session of the UN Human Rights Council is scheduled to begin on 8 September in Geneva and will conclude on October 8.
The Foreign Minister will brief the diplomatic community on the measures taken to address human rights issues and provide an update on the government's progress since it assumed office a year ago.
