Sri Lanka, Sept. 7 -- Foreign, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath departed for Geneva at 6:45 AM today (07).
He is traveling to attend the 6th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which begins tomorrow (08).
During the summit, Minister Herath is scheduled to make a special statement on behalf of the Sri Lankan government.
He is also expected to hold bilateral discussions with several high-level diplomats in Geneva. A special meeting is also planned with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk.
