Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The Central Anti-Corruption Task Force of Walana has recovered five vehicles worth 70 million rupees from the Kalawana - Ratnapura area, which were assembled using forged documents.
The raid was conducted following information that a millionaire vehicle dealer known as "Gadda" in Polkotuwa - Kalawana was selling vehicles with forged engine and chassis numbers and preparing fraudulent documents. The five vehicles were found carefully hidden in three locations.
During the operation, the owner of the vehicles reportedly fainted in fear and was subsequently admitted to the Ratnapura Base Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
