Sri Lanka, June 28 -- The Sri Lanka Navy has rescued a fisherman who was trapped inside his overturned multi-day fishing vessel after it collided with a commercial ship approximately 25 nautical miles off Devinuwara.
The rescued individual is currently being transported ashore for treatment at Galle National Hospital.
This latest rescue brings the total number of survivors from this incident to two, with one fisherman having been rescued earlier by clinging to the top of the capsized boat.
Tragically, the bodies of two other fishermen have been recovered.
