Sri Lanka, Feb. 26 -- The first batch of vehicles imported for private use arrived at the Colombo Port on Tuesday (25), following the Sri Lankan government's decision to ease import restrictions after five years.
The move marks a significant milestone for the country's automotive industry, which had been severely impacted by the import ban imposed in 2020 due to economic constraints.
According to the Vehicle Importers' Association, an CAB imported under the new regulations is expected to cost between Rs. 24.5 million and Rs. 26 million in the local market.
