Sri Lanka, March 6 -- The number of fire engines deployed to control the fire at a shop on Bankshall Street, Pettah has been increased.

According to the Fire Service, 16 fire engines and 60 firefighters have been deployed.

Operations are currently underway to extinguish the blaze.
