Sri Lanka, March 7 -- A fire broke out at a tile shop in Thihariya town on the Colombo-Kandy main road around 12.30 pm today (07), causing severe damage to bathroom sets and the building.

Two fire engines from the Gampaha Municipal Council Fire Department arrived to douse the fire, while the Nittambuwa Police Traffic Division temporarily closed the tenth lane towards Colombo, redirecting traffic through the Kandy-bound lane. The incident caused a 45-minute traffic disruption.

No injuries were reported, and police suspect an electrical leak as the cause. Further investigations are underway.
