Sri Lanka, March 7 -- The Nuwara Eliya Police have launched an investigation into a fire that broke out in a storage room of a tourist hotel on Grand Hotel Road around 5:00 pm yesterday (06).

The fire destroyed several electrical appliances and furniture belonging to the hotel. No injuries were reported, and the extent of the damage is yet to be assessed.

Police are investigating whether the fire was caused by an electrical leak or was deliberately set.
