Sri Lanka, Feb. 16 -- A father who severely abused his two children following disputes with his wife was arrested by the Gampola Police Children and Women's Bureau yesterday afternoon (14).

The arrest was made based on information provided by the Hiru News Team. The mother of the children, aged 15 and 7, had left for Kuwait two years ago for domestic work, leaving them in the care of their father.

According to reports, the father frequently argued with his wife and physically assaulted the children, claiming he was unable to care for them. He filmed the assaults and sent the videos to his wife in an attempt to force her return to Sri Lanka.
