Sri Lanka, April 18 -- Farmers in several agricultural regions, including Ampara, are reporting significant challenges as the government's promised fertiliser subsidy for the Yala cultivation season has not yet been provided.

Farmers in these areas allege that despite the commencement of farming activities for the Yala season, the absence of essential fertiliser is already negatively impacting their crops.
