Sri Lanka, June 3 -- The Agricultural and Farmers' Insurance Board has commenced assessing the damage caused to crops by the rain and wind conditions experienced over the past few days.
The board stated that in the event of crop damage, insurance payments of up to a maximum of Rs. 100,000 per hectare will be released.
Farmers can report information about their crop damage by calling the insurance board's hotline at 1918.
