Sri Lanka, Jan. 21 -- The family of former Minister Nandana Gunathilaka has decided to bury rather than cremate his remains to allow for potential future investigations into his death.
His sister, Mangala Karunathilaka, announced this change during a special media briefing held yesterday (20), at the Wadduwa Youth Buddhist Association Hall.
The decision follows reports of a video complaint allegedly filed by the former minister with the Global Centre for Monitoring Political and Economic Crimes.
According to the organisation's executive director, Gunathilaka had lodged a complaint in October last year stating that his life was under threat.
