Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- A three-wheeler carrying a family of four plunged about 50 feet into a precipice in Watawala while heading to Hatton.

Three members of the family sustained minor injuries and were hospitalised.

The incident occurred last night (04) around 11:00 PM.

At the time of the crash, the driver, his wife, and their two children, aged four and two, were in the vehicle.

The wife and the two children were injured and admitted to the Watawala Divisional Hospital.

According to the driver, the incident was caused by his inability to control the three-wheeler on the winding road.

Watawala Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
