Sri Lanka, Dec. 24 -- Additional bus services for the holiday season will operate until December 27.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Chairman Sanjeewa NandanaKanakarathna announced during a press conference that these measures aim to facilitate smooth travel for commuters during the festive peak.

Simultaneously, the Railway Department confirmed that the Northern Railway Line is now fully open for train operations.

The Yal Devi express train resumes its full journey between Colombo Fort and Kankesanthurai starting today, following the completion of necessary track restorations.
