Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- The Attorney General's Department today informed the Court of Appeal that a special expert committee's report on the motor capacity of imported BYD vehicles is expected within the next few weeks.
This was revealed during the hearing of a writ petition filed by John Keells CGS Company against Sri Lanka Customs, which had initially detained the vehicles.
The company managed to get the vehicles released on a bank guarantee.
The case was heard before a bench comprising President Judge Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyatha Fernando.
