Sri Lanka, April 28 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is set to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption at 9:30 a.m. today, April 28th.

He will provide a statement regarding alleged corruption during the tenure where MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, currently under remand custody, served as Chief Minister of the Uva Province.

Wickremesinghe's appearance follows a rescheduling, as he was initially summoned for questioning on April 17 but was unable to attend.
