Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- The Colombo High Court has set a date for the bail petitions of former ministers Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Nalin Fernando.

The court announced today that the applications, filed by the two men who were convicted in the 'carrom board case', will be heard again on September 23.

The former ministers are seeking release on bail while their appeals against their convictions and prison sentences are being considered.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) informed the three-judge bench that it had not yet received the official notices regarding the petitions.
