Sri Lanka, Sept. 13 -- Former Chairman of the Wattegama Urban Council, Ravindra Bandara, has been arrested along with an associate, Lakshitha Manoj Weerabahu.

The pair were taken into custody over allegations of fraudulently registering vehicles that were allegedly imported illegally into the country.

Police have also seized 02 luxury SUVs over the arrests.
