Sri Lanka, Jan. 29 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority has released the estimated retail price ranges for several essential food items.
The lowest-priced item is a white egg, ranging between Rs. 28-35, while the highest is 400 grams of whole milk powder, priced between Rs. 870-1,000.
A kilo of wheat flour is priced at Rs. 155-163, white sugar at Rs. 228-245, lentils at Rs. 275-293, and imported potatoes at Rs. 160-180.
Meanwhile, a kilo of local white rice is priced at Rs. 210-220, local rice at Rs. 220-230, and imported rice at Rs. 210-220.
