Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- The Electricity Users Association claims that the three engineers responsible for managing the Ceylon Electricity Board's (CEB) System Control Center in Battaramulla - Pelawatta were absent on duty when the islandwide power outage occurred on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the CEB announced that it will determine by tomorrow morning whether power cuts will be imposed, as work continues to reconnect the deactivated generators at the Norochcholai Lakvijaya Coal Power Plant to the national grid. The final phase of this process is currently underway.
