Sri Lanka, June 17 -- The Ministry of Energy has issued a statement addressing what it describes as false and misleading news circulating, particularly on social media, suggesting a potential fuel shortage in Sri Lanka due to the military situation in the Middle East.
The Ministry assures the public that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) currently holds sufficient fuel stocks for the next two months. Furthermore, arrangements have been made to secure future ordered fuel shipments without any issues.
Therefore, the Ministry of Energy urges the public not to be misled by such false and deceptive reports.
