Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- A 30-year-old man died yesterday (02) after falling from a telephone tower in the Maharambakulam area of Vavuniya.

The deceased, Sudesh Chaturanga, a resident of the Mahagarilla area in Nikaweratiya, was an employee of a private telephone company. He fell while performing maintenance work on the tower.

Despite being rushed to the hospital by people at the scene, he was declared dead upon arrival.
