Sri Lanka, Feb. 10 -- The Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation announced that the new train service "Ella Odyssey - Nanu Oya" will commence operations between Nanu Oya and Badulla Railway Station from today, catering to the demand of local and foreign tourists.
The train will operate daily except on Tuesdays, departing from Nanu Oya to Badulla at 8:10 a.m. and returning from Badulla to Nanu Oya at 1:00 p.m.
Ticket prices have been set at Rs. 7,000 for a reserved first-class seat, Rs. 6,000 for a reserved second-class seat, and Rs. 5,000 for a reserved third-class seat.
The train will travel slowly, making a 6-minute stop at Idalgashinna Station and a 10-minute stop at the Nine Arches Bridge.
