Sri Lanka, Feb. 9 -- The Electricity Board has announced a special investigation to determine the cause of the nationwide power outage that occurred today (09).
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Electricity Board's Engineers' Association has stated that the primary cause identified so far is the combination of low electricity demand on a Sunday afternoon and the instability of solar power, which accounts for a significant portion of total electricity generation.
They emphasized that this needs to be confirmed through a proper investigation.
