Sri Lanka, April 19 -- The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has reported receiving a total of 1,712 complaints related to the upcoming local government elections.
The majority of these, 1,512, were lodged with District Election Offices, while 200 were submitted to the National Election Complaints Management Centre.
According to the Commission, a significant number of these grievances, totalling 1,506, have already been resolved.
Investigations are currently underway for the remaining 206 cases.
