Sri Lanka, April 20 -- Eight individuals were injured today (20) when the Bolero cab they were travelling in overturned on the road from Ragala to Siyambalanduwa, Ampara.

Police report that the incident occurred in the Ambanwella area of Nildandahinna, Walapane.The occupants were returning to Siyambalanduwa after visiting relatives in Uduwamadura, Ragala.Initial investigations suggest that the driver of the cab applied sudden brakes, and in an attempt to stop the vehicle, steered it towards a hill beside the main road. The cab collided with the hill and subsequently overturned onto the main road, resulting in the injuries.The Thiripaha Police in Walapane are currently conducting further investigations into the incident.
