Sri Lanka, March 24 -- The Ministry of Education has warned the public about a fake announcement circulating on social media regarding the 2025 G.C.E. O/L Science examination.

The false statement claims the Science paper was leaked and restructured, with candidates receiving eight extra marks and reduced grading thresholds. The Ministry confirmed no such decision has been made and urged the public not to be misled by false information.

The misleading notice stated that science exam marks would be increased by eight, subject mark thresholds would be lowered by ten, and that students scoring above 65 marks would receive an 'A' pass.
