Sri Lanka, Feb. 2 -- The Education Graduates' Union initiated a protest today in front of the Ministry of Education, located at Isurupaya in Battaramulla.

The group demands that the government establish an annual formal mechanism to recruit graduates from state universities into the teaching service without delay. Protesters highlighted the need for a consistent and transparent hiring process to ensure that qualified educators are integrated into the national school system promptly.
