Sri Lanka, June 19 -- The Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court today (19) ordered the further remand of 4 suspects, including former Minister Duminda Dissanayake, until June 26 in connection with the gold-plated T56 firearm incident.

Dissanayake was arrested on May 23 over the alleged ownership of the weapon, which was discovered in the suitcase of a woman residing at the Havelock City housing complex in Colombo.

3 other suspects, previously arrested for transporting the firearm, remain in remand custody.

All 4 were produced before the court today and ordered to be further remanded.
