Sri Lanka, Jan. 28 -- Dry weather will prevail over most parts of the island today (28), as the Department of Meteorology forecasts a break from recent rains. While the general outlook remains clear, certain regions will experience specific atmospheric conditions throughout the day.

Fairly strong winds ranging between 30 and 40 kmph are anticipated at times. These conditions will primarily affect the eastern slopes of the central hills, as well as the Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern, and Uva provinces. Similar windy weather is also expected in the Hambantota district.
