Sri Lanka, May 12 -- Police in the Galenigama area of Bandaragama have arrested a private bus driver who was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and carrying over 50 passengers.

The arrested individual was the driver of a private bus plying the Panadura-Horana route.

According to the police, the bus had been observed being driven recklessly from Horana, prompting police to monitor and subsequently apprehend the driver.
