Sri Lanka, July 8 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered that Dr. Maheshi Wijeratne, a consultant neurosurgeon at Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital, be further remanded until July 15.

She was earlier arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

Colombo Chief Magistrate delivered the ruling after reviewing submissions from CIABOC officials and the defense counsel.

Meanwhile, two other suspects, who were remanded in connection with the same case, were granted bail by the court.
