Sri Lanka, Dec. 11 -- The report from the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) indicates that the death toll across Sri Lanka resulting from the disaster tragically rose to 639 as of 5:00 p.m. today (11).

Furthermore, the report confirms that 210 individuals remain missing.

The total number of people affected by the disaster stands at 1,703,318, belonging to 495,093 families.

The scale of property damage is immense, with 5,588 homes completely destroyed and 87,496 houses suffering partial damage.

Currently, 84,674 individuals, encompassing 26,563 families, are seeking refuge in 866 safety centres established across the island.
