Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Former Sri Lanka Test captain, Dimuth Karunaratne, has officially announced his retirement from international cricket after an illustrious 14-year career. Speaking at a press conference in Galle, Karunaratne revealed that he plans to contribute to Sri Lankan cricket in the future as a coach.

The announcement comes on the eve of the second Test match between Sri Lanka and Australia, which will be held at the Galle International Stadium. This match marks a significant milestone for Karunaratne, as it will be his 100th Test match, and also his final appearance in international cricket.
