Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- Devotees can personally witness and venerate the historic "Devnimori" Sacred Sarvagna Relics at the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple starting today, February 5. The relics were brought to Sri Lanka under the full sponsorship of the Indian government to coincide with the 78th Independence Day celebrations.
The Sacred Relics arrived yesterday via a special Indian aircraft at the Katunayake International Airport. Following religious observances and the chanting of Seth Pirith at the airport premises, the relics were escorted to the Colombo Gangaramaya Temple in a special motorcade.
