Sri Lanka, June 22 -- Deputy Minister of Tourism Ruwan Ranasinghe visited Badulla Hospital last night (21) to check on those injured in yesterday's fatal bus accident near the Dunhinda 4th Milepost on the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya road.
The Deputy Minister stated that the government will do everything possible for the victims.
A hospital spokesperson confirmed that 31 injured individuals are still receiving treatment at Badulla Teaching Hospital, with 3 critically injured patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Police investigations have revealed that the bus was being driven by a temporary driver at the time of the accident, while the regular driver was seated nearby.
