Sri Lanka, April 16 -- A Sri Lankan delegation is scheduled to travel to the United States next week for discussions regarding tariffs imposed by Washington.

The Chairman of the Export Development Board, Mangala Wijesinghe, has stated that the delegation will engage in talks following a request made by the committee appointed to study the new tariff system and propose recommendations to the government.

Speaking to Hiru News, Wijesinghe noted that the discussions will be held with the US State Department.
