Sri Lanka, May 1 -- The Road Development Authority (RDA) has announced a further delay in the implementation of debit and credit card payments for expressway usage, which was scheduled to commence today.

R. A. D. Kahatapitiya, Deputy Director-General of the RDA, stated that the necessary facilities for this payment method have not yet been fully completed.

The pilot project for debit and credit card payments on expressways was initially launched on the 11th of last month at the Kottawa interchange of the Southern Expressway.
