Sri Lanka, July 22 -- The debate on the proposed Sri Lanka Electricity Amendment Bill, which was scheduled for the day after tomorrow (24), has been postponed.

This decision was made at a party leaders' meeting held this afternoon (22), chaired by Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.

The new date for the debate will be announced later.

Instead, an adjournment debate on the government's proposed new education reforms will take place the day after tomorrow.
