Sri Lanka, March 4 -- The Election Commission has announced that the deadline for submitting postal vote applications for the 2025 Local Government Elections will end at midnight on March 12 (Wednesday), with no extensions granted.

Applications can be obtained from District Election Offices or downloaded from the Election Commission's official website,

www.elections.gov.lk.

Certifying officers must personally verify applicants' identities before forwarding certified applications to the respective district's Returning Officer to ensure they reach the District Election Office on or before March 12. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected.
