Sri Lanka, July 9 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered the release of Hemali Wijerathne, daughter of Dr. Maheshi Wijerathne of Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital, on bail.

She was previously remanded on suspicion of threatening Bribery Commission officials.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayatunga ordered the suspect's release on a personal bail of Rs. 500,000.

The suspect was arrested by Keselwatta Police and produced in court.

Meanwhile, another case filed by the Bribery Commission against the suspect, also related to threatening Bribery Commission officials, is scheduled to be called this afternoon.
