Sri Lanka, July 21 -- The Colombo High Court today (21) ordered the re-calling of the case filed by the Attorney General against former Minister Udaya Gammanpila, who is accused of misappropriating company shares worth Rs. 20 million from Australian businessman Brian Shaddick by allegedly using a forged power of attorney.
The case was taken up before High Court Judge R.S.S. Sapuvida, who directed that it be re-listed for hearing on November 21.
The case was originally filed during the government of good governance, alleges that Gammanpila fraudulently transferred shares by presenting a fake attorney's license.
