Sri Lanka, May 1 -- The Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court has ordered the directors of both state and private hospitals to provide details regarding the medical treatment received by 22 Members of Parliament who are under investigation for alleged irregularities in obtaining funds from the President's Fund.

The order was issued by Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura following a motion filed yesterday (April 30) by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The court also directed the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist the CID in obtaining information about any medical treatment the MPs may have received at foreign hospitals.
