Sri Lanka, July 13 -- A court has ordered the police to send excerpts of the investigations into the killing of a Sub-Inspector, following an attack on Kabithigollewa Headquarters Chief Inspector and other officers, to the Attorney General.
This directive was issued when the case was called before Kabithigollewa District Judge and Magistrate Nimeshika Patabedige.
Fifteen suspects, who had been remanded for over a year over the incident, were previously released on two surety bails worth five hundred thousand rupees each.
The attack occurred when police officers went to investigate the death of a person in a wild elephant attack.
