Sri Lanka, May 14 -- The Court of Appeal has scheduled June 26 as the date to confirm the petition seeking the removal of Parliamentarian Ramanathan Archchuna from his parliamentary seat.

The petition, filed by social activist Oshala Herath, was taken up today before a bench comprising Justices Mayadunne Corea and Mahen Gopallawa.

The court ordered that the matter be recalled on June 26 for further proceedings.
